CEO

Ali Farhang has been a successful technologist, executive, and advisor in semiconductor industry for the past 30 years leading global R&D teams towards the development and commercialization of some of the preeminent products in our industry. During his 26yr tenure at Intel, he held progressively expanding senior leadership roles within Intel’s R&D teams and was appointed VP of Engineering in 2012. In the first half of his career at Intel, he made critical technical and leadership contributions in the development of 8 generations of Intel’s lead CPU products.   He focused his remaining tenure at Intel on driving the modernization of Intel’s product development methods and infrastructure. In early 2020, he joined Micron Technology as Corporate Vice President and led the successful formation of it’s Central Engineering organization that today plays a critical role in powering the development of its full portfolio of products.  Since 2018, he has also leveraged his broad technical, management, and strategic expertise to advise multiple early stage semiconductor startups, one of which successfully completed its IPO on the London Exchange in 2021.

CTO

Stefano is a veteran in complex mixed-signal chip design.  Prior to founding Chronos Tech, Stefano covered several  technical leadership positions in the industry both as Director of Engineering as well as Lead Architect.  

Stefano brings expertise in the area of high-speed design, advanced SerDes, low-power techniques, DSP and adaptation algorithms, FinFET technology, top down methodology and asynchronous techniques; with depth ranging from architectural investigation  to final product and IP tuning and optimization.  Stefano has a Laurea Doctorate degree in Electronics Engineering, and a Master in Business Administration.  He holds many US patents in the area of high- speed interconnect,  asynchronous design and computer architectures. 

VP of Engineering 

Giacomo  has more than 20 years of proven experience in analog mixed signal design with a focus on high speed links. Before joining Chronos Tech, Giacomo was a project lead and architect at Intel Custom Foundry working on the latest ultra-high speed multi-standard Serdes.  Giacomo’s breadth of expertise ranges from architectural definition to high volume manufacturing.  He has been involved in all aspects of the product life cycle of a chip, having successfully taped out multiple products in BiCMOS, planar and FinFET CMOS technology.  Giacomo has a Laurea Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA. He is also the inventor of various US Patents in the electrical field.
